I’m not trying to write a blog that’s all put together.
No, that’s not my intention. I simply want to write, because for a long while now I have been feeling this burning desire to write and to let my calculated and poetic words speak here in a way probably more eloquently than I could say out loud. This is the life of an introvert.
So here’s to authenticity. *Cheers* I’m just a mere college student getting tendonitis from typing so much, eye strain from staring at white & lit up machines, and a starving musician who just wants to write and play all the day long. I am a perfectionist, I too often live dreaming about the future (I’m trying to cut back on that currently), and I LOVE pretending that I have time to do all the things I don’t have time for. (Think writing letters, listening to music, reading good classical literature, baking to my heart’s desire and SO much more.) So that’s just a tiny bit depressing.
Back to the Subject. What is this all about? THE MEANING OF LIFE. No, not really. Actually I’m just slightly kidding, or I am slightly being serious. “So you say you are a songwriter Taylor” - Everyone.... “Are you any good?” - also Everyone. So here’s the subject matter. The matter is the songs that I have written, from love songs to stories about adventures I’ve had to the open and honest and heartfelt poems and songs written from the chapel floor, in love with a certain Father, Son and Holy Spirit I call Love. What’s the form? If there’s matter, there’s got to be form, right? The form is this Love that is moving through His Church. My writing is not so much me, but words that He has to say to you & I.
A few words written on my heart lately - build up My body. These gifts are not meant to be under a bushel basket, and my hope and dream is that these gifts and words can penetrate and change hearts. Whether it is a song you hear at Mass (my dreammmmmmm) or on Soundcloud, or maybe on a potential album (prayers please???) these gifts are meant to be a light leading us to the altar & ultimately leading us homeward bound - Heaven.
So that’s the subject.
